The Benefits of LifeCare
More Than “Continuing Care”
Created in answer to the needs of today’s healthier and more active adults, LifeCare retirement living is a lifestyle that allows you both maximum freedom and maximum security during your retirement years.
Unlike an adult community on one end of the spectrum or a nursing home on the other, a LifeCare community is for healthy, active adults who may want to provide for the possibility that they may need nursing care in the future. When they move to Butterfield Trail Village, residents must be able to live independently without assistance. However, monthly service fees cover lifetime on-site skilled nursing services, if needed. Our Medicare-certified Health Care Center is staffed 24 hours a day by professional nurses who consult with your physician or our Medical Director. Additional levels of nursing care, such as emergency, preventative, and short-term rehabilitative, are also available on-site for an additional fee. There are also additional charges for pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and extra meals.
The decision to permanently place a resident in one of our health care facilities will be made only by the Health Care Assessment Team, following consultation with the resident, close relatives and attending physician. If you or your spouse must move into the Health Care Center, there is no increase in the monthly service fee. Your resident agreement stipulates that the other spouse is able to remain in the apartment, free to visit as often and as conveniently as is possible.
